1. Tenure-Track Position in Sustainable Food Production Systems
The School of the Environment in the Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems (SAFS) program is offering a tenure-track position in Sustainable Food Production Systems. The candidate should hold a PhD in environmental science, agronomy, climate science or a related field with a commitment to working with agri-food stakeholders. Candidates’ research topics may include sustainable crop cultivation, alternative food systems design, farm economics, field crop production and the like.
Candidates should also demonstrate excellence in cross-unit and community-campus collaboration in both their research and teaching activities, with experience in fostering new programs in small-scale agriculture.

2. Tenure-Track Position in Community Food Systems
The School of the Environment in the Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems (SAFS) program is offering another tenure-track position in the area of Community Food Systems. Applicants should have a PhD in food studies, environmental studies, human geography or a related field in the social sciences or humanities. Applicants should have conducted interdisciplinary research and teaching focused at the intersection of the social and ecological impacts of food systems. Candidates’ research topics may include inequity across the food system, local food and agriculture movements and the like.
Prospective candidates should also demonstrate excellence in cross-unit and community-campus collaboration in both their research and teaching activities.

3. Tenure-Track Position in Hydrology and Environment
The School of Environment (TSE) at Trent University is offering a tenure-track position in Hydrology. Applicants should hold a PhD in physical geography, earth science or environmental science, with a focus on surface or groundwater systems. Specialization can range from agricultural water use, ecohydrology, hydrogeology and the like. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue an innovative, externally funded research program, while contributing to matters of departmental and institutional governance. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses that cross related disciplines and are taught at the UG level in Trent University.

4. Tenure-Track Position in Natural Resources
The School of Environment (TSE) at Trent University is offering a tenure-track position in Natural Resources. Applicants should have a PhD in environmental science, natural resource management, ecological restoration, or related discipline. Specialization can be in the fields of wetland restoration, forestry and mining reclamation with focus on terrestrial or aquatic ecosystems. The successful candidate is expected to teach courses at the University, which will play a significant role in the Ecological Restoration Degree that is a joint Degree with Fleming College.

The appointment for all these positions will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will commence on July 1st, 2022.
