Swiss TV SRF1 featured amphibians and their population development in Switzerland in the last 20 years in their famous environment serial Network Nature (Netzwerk Natur). Andreas Moser and his team show different stressors on amphibian populations from chytrid fungus and roads to pesticides. Last week they visited us at the lab at Geilweiler Hof and had a look at Manuel Ortizs work in the HERPESTI project and discussed with Carsten Brühl recent results from publications on effects of pesticides on terrestrial life stages of amphibians and their occurrence in agricultural landscapes (~ at minute 22).
The film has very nice images and is in Swiss German as an extra challenge. Enjoy!
