PostDoc / Lecturer position at Uni Freiburg

The Department of Biometry & Environmental Systems Analysis is seeking a
PostDoc/Associate Professor for 3 years, starting in September 2023.

The position is a part of the research group lead by Prof. Dr. Carsten Dormann. The position includes a teaching load of 4 semester hours at the Bachelor’s and
Master’s level, plus thesis supervision.

Applicants must hold a PhD and have a strong interest and
skills in statistical analysis and ideally process modeling of ecological systems.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop and pursue an
independent research program. This is expected to contribute to the
department’s research priorities: development and application of statistical
approaches to ecological problems; improvement of ecological theory of formal
process models; machine- and deep-learning approaches to prediction in
environmental systems.
