The Department of Chemical Safety at UBA is looking to hire a Head of Department (HOD) for Ecotoxicology Laboratory as soon as possible with an intial probation period of 6 months.
Some roles and responsibilities include:-
- Designing the strategic orientation and the further development of the tasks of the department in the environment of the UBA.
- Representation of the UBA in the national and international environment in technical discussions with scientists, in working groups, at specialist conferences, in discussions with industry, associations and politics. Furthermore, the head of the department is responsible for coordinating the research activities of the department.
Prospective candidates should have a completed scientific university degree (master, university diploma) in biology, ecotoxicology, environmental sciences or comparable disciplines, ideally with a doctorate with several years of professional experience and experience in the publication and communication of scientific results. Additionally, good language skills in German and English is a must.
