The Institute for Environmental Sciences at Campus Landau is looking for a PhD student in aquatic ecology for a project on the impact of salinization on desert rivers.
The research will focus on the impact of salinization and related stressors, such as flow modifications, fragmentation and water abstraction, on secondary biomass production and trophic interactions in an intermittent desert river. This work will address both fundamental and applied questions in food web ecology and in biomonitoring.
