Internship / MSc thesis opportunity in pesticide impacts on the immune system at University of Lorraine

University of Lorraine is offering an internship or MSc thesis to compare the reactivity of immune system cells of invertebrates and vertebrates vis-à-vis pesticides.

The objective of the study is to compare the cytotoxicity of pesticides and their metabolites on cells of the immune system of invertebrates and vertebrates. The study will be based on RNA extraction, transformation of RNA into cDNA, qPCR and ELISA tests as well as observations of cellular activities such as phagocytosis and the production of ROS.

The study will be carried out from January to June 2020 with the possibility of a PhD thesis at the end of the internship/thesis.
