University of Sheffield in the UK is offering two PhD positions in ecology and ecotoxicology as part of the European Training Network PRORISK.
The positions are based in the Department of Animal and Plant Sciences at the University of Sheffield and are part of PRORISK. PRORISK is a European Training Network comprised of 18 universities, research institutions, enterprises and partner organisations in nine European countries and Canada, creating a novel platform for training a network of early career researchers in the field of advanced environmental risk assessment.
One project will focus on linking individual and community-level effects of chemicals using energy budget, population and food-web models. The second project will consider the effects of chemicals on ecosystem service delivery and will focus on the development of ecological production functions.
