The Aquatic Ecotoxicology group of the IMDEA Water Institute located in Madrid offers a PhD position on the impacts of global change on the vulnerability of aquatic ecosystems to chemical stress.
The candidate will investigate how the vulnerability of aquatic communities is affected by alterations in their structural and functional composition and by climate-related stressors, such as raise of temperatures or hydrological variation. The research will be grounded on a combination of experimental research and modelling.
The research is part of the European Commission Marie SkłodowskaCurie Innovative Training Networks project ECORISK2050, which aims to determine how chemical risks will be influenced by global change under future conditions in Europe and how to manage these risks.
