The PhenoTox group at UFZ Leipzig is offering an exciting opportunity for a Master’s thesis in a dynamic, state-of-the-art laboratory environment. You will gain hands-on experience in molecular biology and automated imaging techniques, including gene knockdown approaches in a zebrafish embryo model.

What you will do:

  • Conduct literature research
  • Design guide RNAs and perform gene knockdown experiments
  • Work with modern imaging and robotic techniques
  • Collaborate within a motivated, multidisciplinary team

What we are looking for:

  • Strong background in biology, molecular biology, ecotoxicology, or biotechnology
  • Lab experience and molecular biology skills
  • Curiosity, motivation, and a hands-on approach to research
