Cambridge Environmental Assessments (CEA), part of the RSK Group is looking for a Regulatory Affairs Ecotoxicologist for a full or part-time position.
The Vacancy
CEA is based in Boxworth, Cambridge however as the business has offices throughout the UK, they are happy to consider hybrid or fully remote working, depending on candidate preference.
As a Regulatory Ecotoxicologist, you will join the risk assessment team in delivering ecotoxicological risk assessments for plant protection products and other related chemicals, with an emphasis on higher-tier solutions and novel approaches. CEA specialises in higher-tier risk assessments, developing novel solutions for complex risk assessment problems.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as ecotoxicology risk assessment specialist for agrochemical and other projects, including developing and delivering higher tier approaches for non-target organism risk assessments.
- Strive to keep up to date with technical and regulatory developments through self-led learning and attendance of relevant training events.
- Work together with other teams within CEA (e.g., e-fate and exposure, toxicology) where required on multidisciplinary projects.
Person Specification:
- Experience in regulatory ecotoxicology, either gained within industry, consultancy or a regulatory agency.
- In-depth experience in performing ecotoxicological risk assessments within the pesticide regulatory frameworks in the EU and GB.
- Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new approaches.
- Able to work on multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills and a team player.
- Good attention to detail.
