The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Uppsala is offering a Post-doctoral position in Environmental Analytical Chemistry. The position is in the Department of Aquatic Sciences and Assessment.
The Post-doctoral position is a part of the project SAFESTORM. The project aims to understand the performance of current storm water treatment methods as filters for organic micropollutants using state-of-the-art analytical techniques.
The candidate will be responsible for characterization of organic micropollutants by means of high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) and cell-based bioassays. The working environment is international and interdisciplinary.
Prospective candidates should hold a PhD in environmental chemistry, analytical chemistry or equivalent (at least 3 years). A good knowledge of fate and transport of organic micropollutants in aquatic ecosystems with expertise in GC, LC and MS is required. The candidate should be proficient in written and spoken English. Skills such as interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills are merits.
