We are looking for students for the project “Looking back: Development of exposure and effect data for new chemicals over time”.
When new chemicals or technologies attract attention from the public and scientists regarding their potential environmental risks, research starts developing strategies to assess for the effects but also the potential exposure.
Using nanoparticles as a case study, we offer a thesis that examines published data on their effects as well as modelled or measured environmental concentrations over the last 15 years or so. Consequently, this thesis is mainly concerned with searching for literature and abstracting data followed by statistical evaluation. We are looking for candidates that are interested in such a rather theoretical approach helping to understand how our insights in environmental risks is developing over time. Statistical knowledge and hands on experience with “R” is an asset. Start date is flexible.
