Belgian Conference on Ecotoxicology (BCE) 2026

The Belgian Conference in Ecotoxicology (BCE 2026) is pleased to announce its first edition, taking place at the University of Mons (UMONS), Belgium, from 28 to 30 October 2026.

Conference Description:

The Organising Committee of the first edition of the Belgian Conference on Ecotoxicology (BCE 2026) is delighted to welcome you to Mons, Belgium, for three inspiring days of presentations, discussions, and networking in the dynamic field of ecotoxicology. BCE 2026 is an international scientific conference designed by early-career researchers for early-career researchers. Its objective is to provide a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating platform for young scientists to present their work, engage in scientific discussions, and build interdisciplinary networks in ecotoxicology and environmental sciences.

The conference will cover a broad range of topics, including:

  • Ecotoxicology and environmental risk assessment
  • Pesticides and pollinator protection
  • Microbial ecotoxicology
  • Aquatic and marine pollution
  • Contaminants and food webs
  • Emerging pollutants and ecosystem health

We are honored to welcome three plenary speakers:

  • Julia Osterman (University of Gothenburg),
  • Chloé Bonnineau (INRAE),
  • Krishna Das (University of Liège).

Who can participate:

Registration is open to all scientists with an interest in ecotoxicology, from Master’s students to established researchers.

Call for Abstracts (oral and poster presentations):

  • Abstract submission deadline: 21 June 2026
  • Notification of acceptance: 21 July 2026

Registration period

  • Registration opens: July 21, 2026 (upon abstract notification).
  • Registration closes: September 21, 2026.
